Meet The Founder

 Ivana T.  founded Philia Brant because she wanted to give back to the community for love and support her family received while settling in Canada.   

 Through sewing, she creates a space where creativity, confidence, and connection come together.

With over 9 years of experience in the fashion  industry, Ivana brings both technical expertise and a passion for teaching. She has completed specialized training with respected educators such as Suzy Furrer, along with additional programs including Glow High, continuously building her skills in garment construction and tailoring.

Ivana has successfully operated her own tailoring and sewing business for over 5 years and has been proudly recognized as Best Tailor in Brantford 2026, reflecting her commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer care.

She also holds formal training in tailoring and inventory management, strengthening both her creative and business expertise.

Her experience extends into the broader fashion community, having participated in events such as Mississauga Fashion Week, Miss Face of Humanity, Mass Exodus, and Hamilton Fashion Week.

Beyond her professional work, Ivana is deeply committed to community impact. On February 19, 2020, with the support of organizations like Sobeys, No Frills, and Brantford Public Library, along with family and colleagues, she organized the “You Are Valuable” project in support of Nova Vita—an initiative focused on empowering individuals in need.

Today, through Philia Brant, Ivana combines her professional expertise and passion for sewing to teach, inspire, and empower others—helping students of all ages build skills, confidence, and a love for creating with their hands.
